Ajwa Dates- The Prophet’s Favourite Dates.

Ajwa Dates Keeps Away Haram, Poison & Magic:

Ajwa (عجوة) is a soft dry variety of date fruit from Saudi Arabia. It is cultivated at Medina Monawara. A delightfully soft and fruity date with fine texture.

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “Whoever has seven Ajwa dates every morning he will not be harmed on that day by poison or magic.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5445) (5768) (5769) (5779)].

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “Ajwa dates are from paradise.” [Tirmidhee (2068) he said hasan Saheeh and it was authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaani].

Referring to eating seven Ajwa dates, the Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “He will not be harmed by anything until he reaches the evening.” [Saheeh Muslim (2047)].

These dates cost around 70 Saudi Riyals per Kilogram.

There are also "imitations" or some sold an inferior quality dates and "conned" the customers as "AJWA dates" To know whether it’s AJWA, look closely at the dates. There are very fine white lines on the dates.

MADINA DATES KEEP AWAY HARM:

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “Whoever has seven dates between the two areas (the east and west of Madina) as soon as he wakes up every morning, he will not be harmed on that day by poison until the evening.” [Saheeh Muslim (154) (2047)].

DATES IN ONE'S HOME

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “O Aisha! A house that has no dates in it their family is hungry. Oh Aisha! A house that has no dates in it their family is hungry.” [Saheeh Muslim (153), (2046)].

Some Signs Of A Momin ( A True Believer )...!

1. A Momin is one who is wise and of great intellect. His face shines with the light of iman (faith).

2. He has a very kind heart and when you give him Amana, he returns it the same way.

3. He never follows his desires. Worldly matters have absolutely no value to him.

4. If you share with him any of your secret, He would listen to it like own Brother/Sister, He would never tell it to anyone.

5. If you tell him your Problem, He will try to help best he can without any expectation of return.

6. He always feels happy for others success and He is selfish only regarding doing good deeds. He is neither jealous nor envious of others.

7. He never puts himself in any dispute. He does not backbite.

8. He never tells a lie. His whole life will be filled with sufferings and hardships. He never compromises his commitments.

9. Mostly he remains silent. He has great respect for others. He never exposes his anger. He is always busy in the remembrance of Allah (swt). He is always patient.

10. When he remembers the day of judgement, sadness comes in his heart. He is always happy in his poverty.

11. He has a very kind nature and gentle heart. He never breaks his word. He never hurts any other person nor does he accuse anyone. He never speaks ill of others.

12. If he laughs, his voice can barely be heard. If he is angry, he keeps his patience.

13. He is always in search of knowledge. When he consults someone, it is only for the sake of knowledge. His knowledge is great. He is very merciful. He is not miserly.

14. He is not impatient with others. He does not feel sadness due to worldly matters.

15. He is never proud neither does he oppress others nor does he oppress his own self (nafs). And he will never take advantage of any word or misdeed of others.

Smoking and Entering into the Mosque?

Allah Almighty says in the glorious Quran In Chapter no:2 Verse no:195 that,

“Spend in God’s cause: do not contribute to your destruction with your own hands…”

And It is narrated in a saheeh hadeeth that it is not allowed for a person who has eaten garlic or onions or leeks to come to the mosque. Does this also apply to a person who has an offensive odour which is also haraam, such as smoking? Does that mean that the person who consumes these things is excused for staying away from congregational prayers and is not considered to be a sinner for staying away?

Praise be to Allaah.

It was narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever eats garlic or onions, let him not approach our mosque and let him pray at home.”

And it was reported that he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The angels are offended by the same things that offend the sons of Adam.”

Everything that has an offensive smell is subject to the same ruling as garlic and onions, such as a smoker or a person who has an offensive smell in his armpits or other smells that are offensive to those with whom he sits. It is makrooh for him to pray in congregation and he is not allowed to do that until he uses something to get rid of this smell. He has to do that as much as he can, so that he do what Allaah has enjoined upon him and pray in congregation. As for smoking, it is absolutely haraam and should be given up at all times, because of its many harmful effects on one’s religious commitment, physical health and finances.
